Cody Simpson was born on the Gold Coast (Queensland Australia) on the 11th of January 1997. He currently sings pop/R&B and is signed onto the American record label Atlantic Records.
Rising to fame at an early age due to an appearance on a current affairs show, Cody struck a hit with his first single iYiYi. He is currently living is Los Angeles producing more music under the producer Shawn Campbell.
Cody has two younger siblings, and is interested in other activities such as swimming and has previously taken to Youtube to get his talents known to the world.
In August 2010 Cody won the Breakthrough Internet Sensation award in Los Angeles at the Breakthrough Of The Year Awards 2010.
The by late 2010 Cody had begun to tour the United States, even doing several free concerts along the way. During all this Cody recorded a number of songs for his debut album which is due to be released in time for Christmas 2010.
