Abigail Spencer was born and raised in Gulf Breeze, Florida and is the middle of three children. She has two brothers, Yancy Spencer IV (born c. 1973) and Sterling Spencer (born c. 1986). In her early childhood, Abigail entered in the pageant system at the age of 4 and won the state title at the age of 11 and then the international at 13. She credits this early experience as helping her to deal gracefully with disappointments.
Coming from a large extended family, Abigail grew up in a very supportive environment. Every year at family talent shows or reunions, the family would gather round to listen to Abi/Abby’s newest favorite song. This gave her great practice the years to come.
