Timberlake co-wrote and co-produced both albums and says, “The process of writing music is almost indescribable. It's unconscious thought continuum..It's almost like if you stop and think about what you are doing too hard or too much the song might suffer. The effect is also mind blowing. It still trips me out to think that you can put together words and melody and it can affect people in so many different ways.”
In August 2002, Timberlake performed at the MTV Music Video Awards, premiering his debut solo single, 'Like I Love You', a track produced by The Neptunes.
